Pixelpaintings of by and for the web. I wanted to make somethings that would draw on the web for source material, in effect to collaborate with cyberpeople as well as to not end up with a degraded image (a scan of a photo or painting, etc); the source material is already degraded. As you may know if you've read other stuff here I am sort of anti-porn and so I wanted especially to use porn images to turn them into something else. This is where the name "Action Paintings" comes from as well as from the fact that many of them have a complexity to suggest Jackson Pollack paintings of the same uh designation in details anyway. One of the authors of the Prize Winning Book on Pollack told me that actually Pollack's work is meant to be representational uh but that Pollack was psychotic. He promised to send me a copy of his book but never did. Men!
